At Sherson Automotive we understand that visiting a mechanic can sometimes be intimidating. Our Team wants to make your experience a positive one, so when you visit us you will find a ready smile, an attentive manner and expertise you can trust.
Brett
Brett has been involved in the automotive and marine industry for most of his working life. Starting his apprenticeship at Dallas Motors in Hamilton in 1997, he moved through his career working on a wide variety of makes and models as a Technician, and then running workshops as a Service Manager. He has an utmost dedication to his customers and their individual needs, and provides clear and practical solutions for all your motoring requirements.
Ruth
Ruth, as well as being a proud Mum to the Gillard boys, has extensive administration experience, having worked as a legal secretary for many years. It is Ruth’s mission to ensure Sherson Automotive customers receive the highest possible level of customer service and care. She genuinely values every person who phones or comes through the door.
Cameron
We feel extremely lucky to have our Technician, Cameron Judd, working with us. Cameron started at Sherson Automotive in 2017 through the Gateway Programme at Otumoetai College. He quickly became an extremely valuable member of the Team, with his passion for all things automotive, a willingness to learn, and respect for our business and customers. When not at work, as well as spending time with family and friends, Cameron is in the process of modifying his 1986 BMW E30 320i.
Heath
Our fabulous Contractor, Heath Paintin, joined us at the beginning of 2018. A Fitter/Welder by trade, Heath is known as our Workshop MacGyver because of his ability to fix anything! Heath is an amazing asset to our Team, with his wide and varied skill base, strong work ethic and absolute loyalty to our business and customers. When not working, Heath enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Monique and their three wonderful children. He is heavily involved with his children’s sports and school communities.
Aleisha
Aleisha joined us in 2019 as an Apprentice, and is now a fully qualified Technician. We are very proud to support a female mechanic in our workshop, and are particularly proud of Aleisha’s commitment to learning and her loyalty to our customers and business. Her attention to detail and work ethic have made her an extremely valued member of the Team. In her spare time, Aleisha loves being a mum to her fur-baby Maze (a huntaway cross), is passionate about her E30 325i, and dirt track racing.
Kelly
Kelly joined the Team in 2020 as our Front of House Super Star, and comes with a strong and varied administrative background. She is the absolute calm of the Team, and remains unruffled by any of the challenges presented to her on a day to day basis. Kelly and her family enjoy all things automotive, and have a keen interest in cars and motorsport. It’s Kelly’s caring customer service that you will encounter when phoning or visiting reception.
Arlo and Gypsy
Arlo and Gypsy are Sherson Automotive’s fur-babies/mascots. You’ll likely see these two wrinkly rascals around the workshop (but rest assured, if you’re not a dog person, they are very gentle in nature, and generally behind a gate). Both pure-bred English Bulldogs, they enjoy sleeping, a good belly rub and shortbread! They don’t like fluro jackets, bike helmets or tape measures!
